Masjid 21 Points
We need a Masjid where part from praying Salah , following things should happen. this will change situation of Muslims in a silent way and this will also create community leaders.
As we all know, in the span of initial prophetic era, there was only Masjid which used to spread knowledge (ilm) and to deal with all sort of political, economical, social and many other issues. and whenever Muslims used to conquer the land, they used to build masjid on same concepts.
And on the other side, in today's world to make one masjid, it takes huge money with countless effort to collect money from people and to follow all formalities and government norm. And at the end they are used only for 2-3 hours in 24 hours in a day and only used to pray 5 times and give juma byan( we all know how juma byan is effective nowadays, it is least effective by the way)
So below are 21 points on which every masjid should follow.👇
1. All time (of most of the time) teacher/Imam availability to teach/correct surah Fatiha Quran, Salah (things to read and postures) for people who come to masjid even for five minutes or to use Masjid toilet. we know that there are hundreds of people who come to masjid and their Salah gesture is still not right and they even cannot read surah fatiha correctly. but unfortunately imams (majority of them) are least bothered about such people. there are no daily/weekly/monthly program for such people. though we ask for chanda from same people in almost every namaz every day for other masjids and madrasas but we dont have any plan to teach those same people.
like Madrasa chanda collection announcement is done frequently after the prayer where we see maximum people, the ailan of teaching people should also be done in same frequency and pattern.
Also give adequate hadya to imam so that he doesn't have to go anywhere to fulfill his financial needs. Have tie up with few Muslims doctors and MRs for Imam/Muazzan free consultation. Also make imam attend some basic computer course so that he can also use computer and projector. And use masjid to educate madarsa passout/ulema about use of computers and a plan so that they clear 10th and aware of some basic computers operations.
2. Separate room for ladies (travelers, school, college, hospital or mall visitors) to pray. This has become important in today's time when lots of Muslims young generation out of which most of them are girls marrying non Muslim. We know that best place for a woman to pray salah is at her home. We wont invite them daily but weekly/Juma or for few important occasion.
And also note that except India, everywhere in the world, there is separate section for ladies in masjid. Including the masjid and markaz of tabligh.

There was a Supreme Court filed by a Pune Muslim family asking for women's permission in masjid after they are denied the permission and Supreme Court had to intervene. Link below.
3. Weekly/monthly career guidance program for students, IAS ,UPSC MPSC and medical guidance with computer projector. 4. Centre location to collect used clothes and materials and distribute. Also financial support to needy with proper verification and planned process.
5. Juma byan preparations on society issues with polite tone. byan should be prepared on Wednesday and with proper review mechanism. this will attract people to juma byan and we can solve the problem of people coming late only at the end of the byan. Also publish the next (and monthly) juma byan topics in advance on Masjid notice board to create curiosity in people. Ask people also about juma byan topics. We generally don't ask people.

divorce rate , marital dispute and 498s and domestic violence court cases are increasing day by day.
7. TV screen with flash message display of important topics. (with proper security of the TV)
8. Teaching kids and building public speaking skills in them.
9. Ad-hoc basis program for business community (butchers, traders, street hawkers and rickshaw wala etc) on how to do ethical, hygienic, customer friendly and Shariah based business. Teach rickshaw wala to have politeness in their behaviour. have a plan and tie up with people/NGO so that we make sure everyone has updated Aadhar card, pan card and all essentials state/national government documents.
10. Responsibilities of imam will be to create imam among people who pray behind him. And ask people to lead in his presence. Mostly it is seen that in imam's absence, people stare at each other because no one is confident enough to lead the prayer for many reasons.
11. Display the expenses of Masjid publicly every month ( may be at the end of any juma byan) so that we create transparency and people also see that Masjid is not run FREE. also adopt all sort of payment methods to accept the funds. if possible create Masjid website to get funds with payment gateway integration, this will generate the receipt automatically. Create YouTube channel to show the past and upcoming events. Also have a mechanism to have feedback system on masjid governance, juma byan effectiveness and all masjid related activities.
12. Beggar free Masjid. No beggar at Masjid door.
13. Odor free toilets. Liquid hand wash at wazu khana , installing proper air freshener mechanism. Promote and preach pan/gutkha/tambaku free practice.
14. Masjid shop on rent to fulfill financial requirements with proper audit and all online payments, no cash payment.
15. Quran tafseer in general and on selected topics.
16. Beautiful azan which attracts soul. Also adjust speaker volume.

18. Maximum space of Masjid Will be used for Salah . No space wastage on ground floor.
19. Islamic book library on English Urdu Hindi and regional language.
20. Masjid Juma platform will be used by all maktab fikr ulema (barelwi, deobandi, ahel hadis etc) under the topic *ittehad* and to talk about common undisputed topics. This is little bit strange point but needs attention as we unite when they are few government regulations against Muslims and after that we again disburse. Also give juma byan by community "practicing Muslim" leaders and well wishers doctors, engineers and advocates etc on their topic of expertise.
21. Qur'an in taraweeh prayer to be recited with Tarteel and not in super fast speed. And it will not finish on 27th, but on last taraweeh. Daily only 1 parah

ReplyDeleteHe is a safeer. He has to peay asr here and magrib there so as to cover max. masjids and not to extend no. of days of his journey.
Pt. 20: docs n all cannot be allowed to take up Juma speech.
They may, afterwards, with ailaan, and their speech being first whetted by ulema, speak on important topics as required (aside from the Mimbar).
Muslim professional volunteers to organise weekly free camps such as Medical check up, career counselling, free lunch, "show our masjid" etc to Muslims as well as non-muslims.
